WASHINGTON — Representatives of U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., will be embarking on a tour of all 55 counties in West Virginia next week as part of the office’s Commonsense Connections Week initiative. The purpose of the tour is to hear residents’ priorities and concerns, as well as offer assistance with federal agencies.
“I have always believed in the importance of retail government – bringing good government directly to our constituents, hearing their concerns and finding common sense solutions to the issues that matter to them,” said Sen. Manchin in a press release. “Constituents come first, and for the last 13 years, my office has operated the best constituent services team in the United States Senate, ensuring the federal government works for West Virginians by handling more than 100,000 cases.”
The tour will include stops in various counties around the state, including Wetzel County, Jackson County, Doddridge County, Roane County, Wood County, Wirt County, Tyler County, Ritchie County, and Pleasants County.
Residents are encouraged to attend these events to voice their concerns and interact with representatives from Sen. Manchin’s office. The tour is a unique opportunity for constituents to engage directly with their elected officials and make their voices heard on important issues affecting their communities.
