The Libertarian Party’s national convention in Washington DC was filled with chaos and confusion as attendees made a mad dash for the exits before Robert F Kennedy Jr’s speech even began. Despite the rocky start, Kennedy eventually took the stage and delivered a passionate speech criticizing the government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and advocating for constitutional rights.

Kennedy’s speech resonated with the audience, particularly when he spoke out against lockdowns and praised Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. However, not everyone at the convention was a fan of Kennedy’s message, with some questioning his chances of success in the upcoming election.

The convention also featured appearances by former President Donald Trump, who made a campaign rally in the deep-blue liberal stronghold of the south Bronx. Trump vowed to win the state of New York, setting the stage for a historic address to the Libertarians on Saturday.

As the presidential campaign heats up, both Kennedy and Trump face challenges in winning over voters and navigating the unique audience of the Libertarian Party. The speeches and events at the convention will undoubtedly have an impact on the upcoming election, leaving Joe Biden and his campaign with plenty to consider as they prepare for November.
