Republican Voters Favor Gov. Jim Justice for U.S. Senate, Poll Shows

The latest polling data from WMOV/American Pulse has revealed some interesting insights into the upcoming political races in West Virginia. According to the poll, Republican voters are overwhelmingly likely to vote for current Gov. Jim Justice for U.S. Senate, potentially giving control of the Senate to Republicans.

The data shows that 55.7% of Republican voters are in favor of voting for Gov. Jim Justice for U.S. Senate, with only 22.1% undecided and 19.9% supporting Rep. Alex Mooney. With Sen. Joe Manchin announcing that he will not seek re-election, the Senate race is expected to lean towards the Republicans.

In the governor’s race, current Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is leading with 30.5% of Republican voters supporting him, followed by Del. Moore Capito with 22.6%. The attorney general’s race is still undecided, with JB McCuskey leading with 16.1% of the vote.

Overall, Gov. Jim Justice remains one of the most popular political figures in West Virginia, with a favorability rating of 73%. The polling data was collected through 414 interviews, with a margin of error of +/- 4.8% at a 95% confidence level.
